There is a lot to unpick on another unwanted day for Celtic.
Wednesday started with the great news, from the perspective of Celtic supporters, and that’s Peter Lawwell resigning from his post.
That was then followed up by Celtic losing at Dundee United hours later, as pressure mounts on under-fire boss, Wilfried Nancy.
One man who has had dealings with Lawwell is former Celtic striker Andy Walker, and he shared some interesting thoughts on the departing Hoops chairman.

What is your immediate reaction to Peter Lawwell’s resignation?
Peter Lawwell asking Andy Walker to be a ‘cheerleader’
Speaking on Go Radio, Walker was pretty blunt in his thoughts about Lawwell, who spent two decades at Parkhead.
The former striker, who had concluded his two spells at Parkhead before Lawwell could first officially take up his chief executive post in 2003, stated that the duo are ‘not friends.’
He even fired some subtle shots at the 66-year-old by claiming that Lawwell asked him to be a ‘cheerleader’, but he simply refused.
“Me and Peter Lawwell are not friends,” said Walker. “He asked me years ago to be a cheerleader, and it’s just not my bag. I just like to look at things in a different way.”
Billy Dodds: “You haven’t nipped over for a cup of tea any time recently?”
Walker: “No, no, no.”
How will you remember Peter Lawwell’s time at Celtic?
Walker is still shocked over Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic exit
Amid the drama of this season, and the chapters continue to be added, nothing will probably top what unfolded on that Monday evening in late October when Brendan Rodgers headed for the exit door.
It was a remarkable ending for Rodgers because he was verbally booted out by Dermot Desmond, and to this day, it has still shocked Walker.
Months on, and following Lawwell leaving, the unrest continues at Celtic, but Walker hasn’t changed his mind on the way Rodgers was treated.
“I think when you look at it, the Celtic supporters, the loudest voices in recent weeks,” said Walker. “Before, during and after games, it’s against the board, and it’s ‘sack the board’ type of calling.
“I don’t know what Peter Lawwell’s resignation does – I think the change of direction has been remarkable.
“You go and get Brendan Rodgers. Why do you do it? He’s an elite manager. He’s a proven winner. He had been at Celtic before. Delivered an extraordinary level of success. And look at the way he’s left. That was with someone briefing against him.
“I do think the way Brendan Rodgers spoke up about, in not so glowing terms, about the board, but I can’t believe a Celtic manager departs a club, and that’s what he gets. A statement like that.”
