Ange Postecoglou held a fan Q&A where Celtic supporters got the opportunity to ask the manager any question they liked about his time at the club.

Whilst the questions all varied from what was his favourite moment at Celtic to square sausage and crispy rolls, Ange was also asked what his favourite goal of the season was.

Speaking to Celtic TV, Ange said, “Favourite goal scored this season? We’ve scored quite a few and I’ve loved them all.

“I’d say Jota’s against Rangers. Everyone sort of picked it. It was a super goal and it had a bit of everything.”

Of course, that goal in the 4-0 demolition of our rivals was voted as the Goal of the Season. Jota’s 32nd-minute chip over Rangers goalkeeper was sublime.

From the quick free kick by Callum McGregor to Matt O’Riley. The O’Riley pass to Jota and the Portuguese winger’s first touch takes him away from the Rangers defence to then deftly lob McGregor. It really was a beautiful goal. You can watch it here on Sky Sports.

And then there was the celebration by Jota. A moment this season that has certainly become iconic for the Celtic fans. The Celtic winger explained the inspiration behind the celebration as a tribute to his former Benfica coach, Fernando Chalana who passed away last year

Of course, Jota has provided another moment against our rivals that has become famous amongst the Celtic fans. The celebration in the Scottish Cup semi-final where he stood in front of the Rangers end with arms outstretched was another brilliant moment by the Portuguese winger.

The 24-year-old has been an inspired signing by Ange Postecoglou. His goals and assists over the past two seasons have been crucial in helping the Celtic boss get off to a winning start to his Celtic career.

And we will all be hoping that he can produce another piece of magic on Saturday as we bid to lift the Scottish Cup against Inverness Caley Thistle.
