‘Anything in blue battered’ – Celtic fans react to Auston Trusty’s social media post

Brendan Rodgers’ defence has been a huge talking point among Celtic fans.

Auston Trusty was one man who Rodgers brought in last summer from Sheffield United, and he was in and out of Celtic’s XI in his debut campaign.

It’s fair to say that Trusty divided opinion, alongside Liam Scales, as Celtic search for that regular partner alongside the main man, Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The former Arsenal man is back in pre-season and ready to go for the new campaign, as he sent a message to fans on social media.

What Auston Trusty posted on social media

It has been a mixed time for Celtic in pre-season, with two wins and a defeat, as well as goals being conceded to the disappointment of the fans.

But it is pre-season, and there shouldn’t be an overreaction as Trusty expressed his delight at being back and ‘building towards a new season.’

‘Good to be back & build towards a new season! #CelticFC 🍀,’ wrote Trusty.

Celtic fans’ clear message to Trusty

Celtic have signed Hayato Inamura to provide added quality at the back, but it remains to be seen if he is still at the club by the end of August or is loaned out to gain valuable experience.

But, either way, the Celtic Park faithful are being positive towards Trusty, and they are backing him to go to the next level.

There were even a few digs at Rangers and their captain James Tavernier, as the fans want the USMNT international to bring down everything before him.
