It will be great for Celtic to get back on the field, so they can do their talking on the pitch.
Unfortunately, following Wilfried Nancy’s arrival at Celtic, it has all been blown out of proportion, with far too much noise around his arrival and his new system.
One man who has played a key role in Nancy’s system change is centre-back Auston Trusty, playing as a right-sided centre-back in a back three.
And ahead of Celtic’s Europa League clash against AS Roma on Thursday night, Trusty spoke about the changes at the club during this past week.
What changes to you expect Wilfried Nancy to make against Roma?

Auston Trusty on Celtic ‘changing things up’ with Wilfried Nancy’s new system
Speaking at his pre-match Roma press conference, Trusty stated how the new system implemented by Nancy has made Celtic ‘less predictable.’
But rather than just focus on the formation, the USMNT international, who plays a similar formation for his country, thinks the players ‘need to be more adaptable to new change.’
“It changed things up,” said Trusty on Nancy’s new system. “How Hearts played us. But also, how we developed the game.
“I had a lot of the ball. Made passes. A lot kind of came through me from the outside centre-backs.
“At the same time, pushing the wing-backs higher up the pitch, and also coming back for the defence. Yes, it changes things up. I think it’s a good change. Sometimes change is good. Maybe less predictable how we are going to change.
“Again, as players, we need to be more adaptable to new change.”
Was Celtic’s ‘behind the scenes’ footage with Nancy unnecessarily invasive?
Trusty on Nancy’s ‘positive’ mindset
Thankfully, Nancy is shutting out the noise, and is focusing on getting the champions of Scotland back to winning ways.
Trusty explained what Nancy’s mindset is like, and how there is also little time to implement his ideas, because of the lack of time to train.
“From the outside looking in, you don’t understand how little time you have to implement stuff,” added Trusty.
“It’s game after game after game here. You don’t really have time to train and really try to implement stuff. It’s day by day and game by game. Slowly but surely, we are going to get better at it.
“He (Nancy) has come in with a positive mindset, and he wants to win. That’s what this job is about. That’s what this whole organisation is about. It’s coming to win. And that’s the mentality he has.”
