Celtic’s win against Motherwell was quite a 90 minutes of football.
Brendan Rodgers’ side took the lead before the visitors turned it around, and in a rousing last 20 minutes, the Hoops themselves came back to claim a 3-2 victory.
Kelechi Iheanacho opened the scoring, and after Motherwell’s turnaround it was Benjamin Nygren who equalised before Daizen Maeda sent Celtic Park wild.
It certainly wasn’t the Hoops’ best performance but the Parkhead faithful know as well as anyone that winning ugly is essential for winning titles.
One Rangers man who was watching on in hope that the winner wouldn’t come certainly wasn’t jumping for joy after Maeda’s goal.
Barry Ferguson’s reaction to Celtic beating Motherwell
The goal came in the 93rd minute – the third time already this season that the Bhoys have secured the three points late on.
Few fans would deny that those late winners often leave an even better feeling than a 6-0 thrashing.

Barry Ferguson’s main focus on Sunday would have been Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Falkirk which saw Russell Martin lose his job.
That alone can’t have been enjoyable for him, and speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, he admitted his feelings when he heard about the Hoops’ winner.
Ferguson said: “Maeda made my Sunday night even worse when I seen him score with the last kick of the ball.
“But that’s what good teams do, they go until the end. Were Celtic great yesterday? No they weren’t, credit to Motherwell. You keep going and keep going and eventually you get that goal.
“And this could be a very very important three points for them.”
One thing he may need to be reminded of is that it was a header rather than a kick.
Celtic’s late shows so far this season
After the week that Celtic had prior, Maeda’s winner felt like the most significant of the Hoops’ season so far.
It was now over two months ago that we were celebrating Luke McCowan’s late winner against St Mirren on the opening day of the season.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s injury-time penalty against Kilmarnock marked the perfect start to his Hoops career a month later.
Regardless of how the side are winning games, a consistent run of victories would be handy after the international break as the Celts seek to reclaim top spot.
