Celtic will find out who will be in the Parkhead dugout soon for the January derby after Rangers sacked Russell Martin on Sunday night.
The Ibrox hierarchy decided to pull the plug on Martin after a run of horrendous results see Rangers sitting 8th in the Scottish Premiership table nine points behind Celtic.
With Martin now officially an ex-Rangers manager, the announcement last night prompted Celtic hero Chris Sutton to poke fun at fellow Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd.
And now, it’s the turn of the Celtic supporters to rub the former Rangers man’s nose in it after his blind prediction about the hiring of Martin back in June.

Why Celtic fans are rushing to send Kris Boyd a Russell Martin Rangers reminder
Kris Boyd is known for some strange opinions about Celtic over his time as a pundit on Sky Sports but it’s what he said when Rangers hired Russell Martin that the Hoops support are rushing to remind him about.
Boyd said on Sky Sports, “I think it’s a fantastic appointment for Rangers.
“I know there are a lot of fans out there are unhappy and have got their concerns. I can understand that.
“For me, when I speak to people, Russell Martin is highly thought of. I believe that there were bigger clubs in England than Leicester who asked him to be part of their staff.
“I firmly believe that this is the right appointment for Rangers football club and I think he will do really well.”
Right in with his studs up, it looks like Boyd has been caught with his pants down and Celtic supporters are reminding him of this as we speak.
Celtic fans remind Kris Boyd of his ‘fantastic’ praise of Rangers for hiring Russell Martin
Not slow in missing an opportunity to stick it to Boyd, these Celtic supporters wasted no time in reminding him of his blue-tinted Rangers prediction.
@StNiniansPI cheekily asked, “Surely enough for Boyd to be sacked too?” and @Everysecondfri3 was even more scathing and said, “Kris Boyd…. What an embarrassment as a football pundit!!!”
This next Celtic fan cannot wait for Boyd’s next prediction:
One thing is for sure, Boyd will check himself before blindly endorsing the next Rangers manager appointment, right?
