Celtic’s recruitment and academy have worked wonders over the years.
Whatever the situation, there has been one common theme and that’s Celtic continuing to deliver trophies.
One of the most entertaining periods of Celtic’s dominance over the last decade is the Ange Postecoglou era.
The now-Tottenham boss arrived when the Bhoys just had a season to forget, but he quickly turned that around and brought in a serious level of excitement.
One of the great things Postecoglou did was bring in some high-level players, who are still thriving now, such as the Japanese players.
But one man who came through, for a brief period before leaving under Ange, is now making huge headlines.
Scotland star Ben Doak backed to become ‘world-class’ after leaving Celtic
Ben Doak left Celtic for Liverpool in 2022 and he is still on their books after making ten appearances in all competitions.
The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough and is now making his way into the Scotland squad.
Doak shone for Scotland against Croatia in their 1-0 UEFA Nations League win on Friday evening and got plaudits for his performance.
Craig Levein didn’t hold back in how he felt about the player and told The Scottish Football Podcast that Doak is going to become ‘world-class’.
“When you have pace like that, then there are very few defenders, that if you square them up in a one-v-one situation, they can deal with you,” said Levein about Doak causing Josko Gvardiol problems. “It’s proven that the top defenders in the world. He can go past them.
“Just imagine, three or four years from now when he will be even quicker because of his development. But also, he will have the confidence. Imagine him with 10x more confidence than he has just now.
“We said before the game, have we had any world-class strikers? This is maybe early to say this. But this kid could be a world-class player.”

Doak and Anthony Ralston’s Celtic-like partnership
Anthony Ralston starred alongside Doak on the right-hand side and it’s a partnership Celtic fans could have seen on their stage.
But it’s not going to bother fans too much because Nicolas Kuhn and Alistair Johnston are ripping it up on that side now.
Nonetheless, when speaking about Doak, Willie Miller spoke about how his partnership with Ralston on the right flank had a Celtic flavour to it.
“It’s Ben Doak that created the chance (for McGinn’s winning goal), he looked unstoppable,” said Miller. “Gvardiol, a top-quality fullback couldn’t handle him. Just couldn’t handle him. His pace was just electric.
“It’s all about Anthony Ralston going into that area that Doak wanted to exploit. I think that is a Celtic thing. They tend to do that at Celtic Park.”
