Pat Bonner was left seriously impressed by one Celtic player in the win over St Mirren.
All the talk pre-match was about Adam Idah starting for Celtic up front, whilst Daizen Maeda was pushed out to the wing.
Celtic huffed and puffed to begin with as St Mirren put up a decent fight but, in the end, the Parkhead bench proved too strong as the Hoops ran out 5-2 winners in Paisley.
There was one particular player who really impressed BBC pundit, Pat Bonner, as the Celtic hero praised Hyunjun Yang for his ‘impact’ in the game.

Pat Bonner blown away by Celtic’s hero at St Mirren
Pat Bonner was running his eye over the win when he pinpointed Hyunjun Yang’s performance that eventually sealed the game for Celtic.
Bonner told the BBC, “St Mirren were always in it up until the final period in that game. Celtic in the last 25 minutes, and the changes Rodgers made, what an impact.
“Yang was lightning when he came on. Maeda getting his goal too. I think in the last 25 minutes Celtic deserved it but St Mirren were always in it.
“They had huge chances and that’s the big difference between the two teams.”
Hyunjun Yang’s Celtic numbers under Brendan Rodgers
The South Korean has had a tough time at Celtic since his move almost two years ago but now, under Brendan Rodgers, Yang is flourishing.
After the St Mirren win, Rodgers joked that Yang’s performances were down to his visiting girlfriend, but, in truth, the Celtic boss must take credit for his development.

Mostly used from the bench, Yang flattered to deceive as he struggled to settle in at the club.

As you can see, Yang has significantly increased his contribution on the pitch with fewer minutes and appearances this season, showing that maybe, just maybe, there is a Celtic player in there after all.
