The former Celtic boss is coming under pressure again after Tottenham lost at Arsenal last night.
Postecoglou is famed for his no-nonsense all-out high-energy attacking style and, to be fair to the Australian, it has brought him huge success at every level of football he has managed, especially at Celtic.
Postecoglou dominated Scottish football with his attacking style but the former Celtic boss has come under serious criticism at Spurs after failing to win in the Premier League since the 15th of December.
But after Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to Arsenal last night, Ange is under pressure again but this time it seems that it’s now down to what his players are lacking that Celtic’s had in abundance during his time at Celtic Park.
Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs are missing the ‘high energy’ Celtic had
BBC pundit, Pat Nevin, was offering his take on Spurs’ defeat to Arsenal when he said that the Spurs team’s energy levels are ‘nowhere near’ what the Australian had at Celtic.
Nevin told Football Daily, “They just look a little bit tired.
“They didn’t look as if they’ve got the legs and it happens to a lot of players if you’re playing a high-tempo game. There’s a huge amount of games they’re playing.
“They’re not getting the rest they need because they’ve got a limited squad. All those excuses. The thing is you still need to be able to do it.
“And I’ve watched Ange Postecoglu’s teams, obviously, with Celtic and they’re high energy, they’re high tempo. And that’s the way his team play.
“If you don’t play that team that way or aren’t able to play that way, they’re not going to be very good. And that’s the problem. They’ve not got those energy levels.
“They can do it now and again when that energy has been brilliant. They were a long way from it today.
“They were nowhere near that.”

Postecolgou is trying to produce winning football at Spurs and, at times, his team look unplayable. But rather than using what he did at Celtic to beat him around the head, maybe the pundits in England should just admit one thing.
Spurs’ players are not good enough to play Postecoglou’s style. Now before people come at this and criticise the standard of the Scottish League, that argument is all relative to the players that Spurs have at their disposal.
The Premier League club have elite-level players who they have spent millions upon millions of pounds on.
They should be able to easily take care of the likes of Bournemouth, Ipswich and Crystal Palace to whom Spurs have all lost to.
Rather than continually blaming the manager, maybe, just maybe, the Tottenham team are not as fit or as good as they think they are to apply Postecoglou’s style of football effectively.
