Celtic’s season continues to go from strength to strength.
That was proven at the weekend as Brendan Rodgers watched his team score four goals at Tynecastle to go three points clear at the top of the Premiership table.
Celtic weren’t even at their best, yet they walked away with all three points and it looks like no one can stop them on the domestic circuit.
The team that did come close was Aberdeen when they drew 2-2 at Parkhead in October, but then they got slapped up in the League Cup semi-final.
There have been occasions when the champions have just been too good, but when they are under pressure, like they were at Hearts, or previously before against Kilmarnock, then they are still winning the contest and sometimes comfortably.
One of the main reasons behind that is the devastating form of Nicolas Kuhn.
Nicolas Kuhn is the ‘best player’ in Scotland
Rewind back to January and Kuhn was being questioned in Celtic colours, but just like that, he has turned it all on its head.
That’s 22 goal involvements for the player, including scoring critical goals during, at times, very difficult moments.
Go back to his brace against RB Leipzig, the second goal against Killie when the team was under serious pressure and then the second goal against Hearts to provide his team with the cushion.
That’s why Marvin Bartley feels Kuhn is the ‘best player in the country’ and how he is a ‘real game-changer’ on the flanks, as he told The Scottish Football Podcast.

“I don’t think scorelines ever flatter you because you get out of the game what you deserve,” stated Bartley about Celtic’s performance at Tynecastle.
“I definitely think in the first half Hearts were very, very good, again, they would have gone in at half-time and been happy with their performance. But Celtic showed what champions do. They go out in the second half and score four goals. You come out of it and say ‘were they at their best?’ No, they weren’t.
“They have a man right now in Nicolas Kuhn, who is the best player in the country, no doubt about it. He is a real game-changer. We speak about Rangers not having a clear identity to what they are doing. Celtic have that. Celtic will wear you done by making the same runs. Underlapping runs.”
Kuhn’s stats for Celtic
This could be a record-breaking season for Kuhn because he is already on 22 goal involvements and there is still a lot of football to be played.
There are extra games in the Champions League and Celtic are heading towards the knockout stages.
Plus, the League Cup final is around the corner and you would back the team to reach the Scottish Cup final too. All in all more games for Kuhn to fill his boots.
That’s why WhoScored have rated his performances at a staggering 7.60 this term.
