Everything Nicolas Kuhn seems to touch right now at Celtic turns to gold.

There is no stopping the all-action winger who has transformed in Celtic colours this season after his early struggles when he joined in January.

It proves how much Celtic’s recruitment should be trusted because this is another player who was an unknown figure when he first arrived, but is now ripping everyone apart, including during the 4-1 win over Hearts at the weekend.

It’s not just Kuhn’s performances in the Premiership that have been impressive, his Man of the Match display during Celtic’s win over RB Leipzig last time out was even better.

The Celtic fans can get more excited because they sense there are many more levels for the player to reach, including guiding his club deep into the Champions League.

During Martin O’Neill’s days in the Parkhead dugout, he was blessed to work with some of the greats and he shared an interesting insight into Kuhn.

Martin O’Neill hails ‘terrific’ Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn

Kuhn’s performances could land him a Germany call-up and it would be very much deserved if that door is knocked down in 2025.

But, for now, he is continuing to rip it up, with O’Neill labelling the 24-year-old as ‘excellent’ and someone who is ‘really comfortable’ with the ball at his feet.

O’Neill added that Kuhn ‘knows what he is doing’, which to him, ‘sounds crazy’ because he doesn’t think that’s the norm with everyone else, as he told Sky Sports Football (23/11/24 at 7:15 pm).

“He has been excellent,” said O’Neill. “They have been talking about him now getting into the German national side.

“That speaks volumes for the way he has performed. Terrific really. Nice footballer. Really, really comfortable with it at his feet. You feel as if he knows what he is doing. That kind of sounds crazy, doesn’t it, when you think about it?! Not all players did that. I had a bit of a problem myself all those years.

“But a lovely footballer, genuinely.”

Kuhn’s stats for Celtic

Celtic are going strong in the Champions League and they have a chance to increase their wealth by beating Club Brugge on Wednesday night.

Kuhn ripped it up with his brace last time out and this is another chance for the player to elevate his status even further.

It’s not even Christmas yet and he already has 22 goal involvements to his name, as posted by Tranfermarkt. These are crazy numbers and you wonder about the records he can break this season.
