Greg Taylor’s Celtic contract situation is still rumbling on this season.

With less than three months left on his current deal, Taylor has yet to agree on new terms to extend his stay at Celtic Park.

Despite there being interest in the Celtic fullback, Taylor is yet to speak to other clubs despite being free to do so since January.

And after Taylor shares a class Celtic Park moment before the Kilmarnock win, it seems that the defender still hold the club dear to his heart.

However, a new contract has yet to be agreed upon, and it seems, according to Mark Guidi, that there is still a bit of work to do to get a deal over the line.

Celtic and Greg Taylor are a ‘good bit apart’ but not ‘insurmountable’

Guidi told The Go Radio Football Show [12m], “Maybe having seen the reception he got from the Celtic supporters on Saturday, he’s clearly a very popular member of the squad.

“He’s a good guy around the dressing room, good guy around the training ground. He got his family, his young family, involved on Saturday.

“Maybe he’ll just think, do you know what, if Celtic can come up with a bit… By all accounts, they are a good bit apart in terms of what he’s been offered and what he’s looking for.

“It’s a good bit, by all accounts, but it’s not insurmountable.”

Every single season Greg Taylor has played for Celtic shows defender’s importance

Greg Talyor has been at Celtic since 2019 and was signed as a replacement for Kieran Tierney who left the club to join Arsenal.

After a difficult first season, Taylor slowly established himself as a first-team regular at Celtic and since then his importance to the club cannot be denied.

Taylor has won four league titles, three Scottish Cups and three League Cups over his time at Celtic with his most important goal, arguably, the one in this season’s League Cup final win over Rangers.

With over 200 appearances for Celtic, if Taylor does move on, he will be a player who will be missed by the club and many of the fans.
