Celtic’s 2025 transfer window was heavily criticised, but they still managed to find Benjamin Nygren this summer.

Nygren joined the Hoops for less than £2m and has made an instant impact at Parkhead.

The 24-year-old is the joint-top scorer with four goals in all competitions, leading to Nygren earning plaudits from Michael Stewart and others.

His arrival was already deemed a bargain, but now his new transfer value makes it look like an absolute steal.

How much is Benjamin Nygren worth?

Since signing for Celtic, Nygren has featured heavily under Brendan Rodgers.

He has been deployed in the number eight position alongside Reo Hatate and Callum McGregor in the centre.

While he hasn’t always been perfect, Nygren’s value has skyrocketed following his start to life in Glasgow.

According to Football Transfers, the midfielder is now worth £6m – an astonishing 252 per cent rise on what the Bhoys paid for him in the summer.

This is after only 13 appearances in the green andn white, so imagine what he could be worth by the end of the season?

Benjamin Nygren will be glad to return to Celtic

Nygren had a disappointing international break with Sweden as they lost both games, resulting in their manager being sacked.

Left on the bench for both of those games, returning to familiar surroundings at Celtic will be much better.

Rodgers will almost certainly start him against Dundee and if anyone can get the Hoops flying, it is him.
