Brendan Rodgers is feeling a bit of the heat at Celtic.
On top of the off-field noise at Celtic, and the fans have sided with Rodgers amid criticism aimed at the board, the weekend defeat at Dundee hasn’t gone down well with supporters.
The issue here is that Celtic deserved to lose to Dundee, and the performances for large parts of the campaign have been drab beyond belief.
But Rodgers isn’t helping himself with some of the stuff he is saying, and it is surprising many.

Billy Dodds is surprised by what he’s hearing from Brendan Rodgers
Billy Dodds has questioned just how long Rodgers will remain in the Celtic Park dugout – his contract does expire at the end of the campaign.
Speaking on Go Radio, Dodds thinks Rodgers is ‘for the first time’ letting others know that he ‘isn’t happy’, and that was proven by his ‘Honda Civic’ remark.
“I still think, if Celtic get it together, and I don’t know if it will be with Brendan Rodgers,” said Dodds. “They look flat.
“He is coming out with things that, for the first time, like letting people know that he isn’t happy with little cryptic hints, at times, e.g, the Honda.
“Do you know the one thing, with that one? How are his players going to feel about that? It’s like ‘this squad isn’t good enough.’ That’s what that is probably saying. How would you feel as a player with your manager coming out with that?
“Maybe a lot will let it go in the modern-day player, where they don’t go and confront the manager. I just wonder, as a group, how they feel about that one. I would love to get an answer. I would love to be in that group as a Celtic player and say, ‘Tell me what you think?’”
Is Rodgers ‘rattled’ after Dens Park stick?
As the Celtic players and the manager left the Dens Park pitch over the weekend, they were getting stick from the away supporters.
Go Radio host Paul Cooney questioned whether the Celtic manager got ‘rattled’ by the fans’ reaction, hence his post-match comments, as Dodds admitted that he has ‘never’ heard Rodgers speak in this manner before.
Paul Cooney: “In the summer, that was his argument, and it was a strong argument. He was let down by recruitment, or whoever was doing the recruitment, wasn’t good enough. I think everyone would agree.
“I think there was some stick from the fans to the player, and the manager probably at Dens. Park. He is maybe slightly rattled by it because he doesn’t make a misstep with the media and what he says.”
Dodds: “That’s the feeling I get. I have never heard Brendan Rodgers speak like this. He is usually calm. We keep the focus, and we will play with our heads because I know my team will win games.
“But now he has come out with certain things. It’s a testing time.”
