Brendan Rodgers knows how to play the game at Celtic.
The manager is vastly experienced and is preparing for his 33rd Champions League proper fixture in his career when Bayern Munich roll into Parkhead tomorrow evening.
It is set to be a “special” fixture as Vincent Kompany has insisted but Rodgers was in no mood to give anything away at all when it came to his lineup for the game.
The boss was surprised to have Daizen Maeda back in contention while he revealed how Cameron Carter-Vickers would also be available for selection should he wish to pick the American.
Kasper Schmeichel and others who missed the Scottish Cup tie vs Raith Rovers are also back while Jota could potentially start depending on Rodgers’ thoughts on the night.
And with the latter star in particular, a question from the media prompted a light-hearted dig from Rodgers about whether or not he will play from kick-off.

Rodgers chuckled when asked if Jota would start for Celtic
Rodgers grinned immediately when asked if Jota will start, as he replied: “Okay… you got your pen and a bit of paper and I’ll tell you the whole team?”
It was a classic Rodgers answer before he went into slightly more detail about Jota’s match fitness.
“He’s definitely in the squad and I’ve got to say I’ve been so impressed with him,” he added.
“I watched him from the outside and heard some of the other players talk about him. But seeing him come in and seeing him on the pitch, he’s just got star quality written all over him.
“He needs to get to a physical level. But that’s just time and a bit of support around that because he hasn’t played a great deal. But there’s absolutely no doubt about his quality.”
Cameron Carter-Vickers is back fit vs Bayern Munich
Asked specifically about Carter-Vickers, Rodgers provided the update fans were hoping for.
Is the big man fit? “Yeah, he’s fit and available. We gave a few of the boys a bit of a rest at the weekend.”
We told earlier how Auston Trusty was looking forward to working with CCV on the grand stage once again.
And the pair of USA internationals hope to clamp Harry Kane in front of goal.
