Celtic cruised into the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup with a 4-0 win over Partick Thistle.
Brendan Rodgers watched on as four different goalscorers ensured Celtic hammered Partick to a relatively straightforward win at Firhill.
The Celtic manager’s starting XI was much-changed as Rodgers rotated his squad to prepare for the start of his Europa League campaign on Wednesday night.

Brendan Rodgers praises Celtic fan backing after board protest
Celtic fans are not letting their anger with the board dissipate as action stepped up this weekend with a superb display at Partick Thistle.
When told the fans never stopped supporting the team, Rodgers told Sky Sports Scotland, “Very much so. I would never tell the fans what to do or feel.
“But I don’t think they’ve forgotten the team. Because they know, the support, the players feel it, they get encouraged by it and we got great backing all day.”
As a Celtic supporter, Rodgers can empathise with the frustration the fans are feeling after watching a shambolic transfer window coupled with an embarrassing Champions League exit.

Every Celtic supporter involved in this deserves a huge pat on the back as the organisation and execution of this protest was excellent and will be spoken about for the rest of this week.
