Celtic have a strong squad with plenty of talent.

Brendan Rodgers has been able to assemble a team glowing with talent across different areas of the pitch.

Five new additions have been added to the team in the transfer window and more are expected to come through the door at Celtic Park.

Fans will get the chance to see the returning international stars in action for the first time against Estoril this weekend as preparations to win five league titles in a row steps up a notch.

Brendan Rodgers excited by Benjamin Nygren

One of those players that could be handed some minutes for the first time this season is Benjamin Nygren.

Signed from FC Nordsjaelland for less than £1.5m, Nygren is expected to play a key role in Celtic’s bid to dominate Scottish football again.

Nygren linked up with his new teammates along with all of the other internationals but is making an impact already, with Rodgers impressed by what he has seen.

He said: “I’m really excited by him (Nygren), he’s a forward thinking player, he’s got good legs, gets about the pitch and he’s showed up well since he’s come in.”

Where will Benjamin Nygren play for Celtic?

The 24-year-old is extremely versatile and will allow Rodgers to deploy him anywhere across the attacking line.

He can play on both sides, as well as in the central striker position – welcome news for a team in need of a number nine.

Alternatively, if Rodgers fancied switching up his formation to a 4-2-3-1, he could play in the number 10 too.
