Brendan Rodgers is still no closer to renewing his Celtic stay as manager, 67 Hail Hail can reveal.
The Northern Irishman rejoined the Hoops as boss in the summer of 2023 and penned a three-year contract that expires in 2026.
He’s won two domestic Doubles since his return, but is facing a more difficult potentially final season in charge of the club.
Celtic endured a disastrous summer transfer window as club chiefs failed to provide Rodgers with the quality needed to replace Nicolas Kuhn and Kyogo Furuhashi.
The squad is weaker than last season and that is showing in results and performances so far this campaign, which Rodgers will be frustrated at.
The Hoops manager was last asked about his contract status in September and he intimated that there was no news on the front.
67 Hail Hail explained last week that conversations are being had between Rodgers and the Celtic hierarchy over his future, with club chiefs wanting him to sign fresh terms.

Rodgers and Celtic contract agreement not close
But we now understand that a new deal is not any closer to fruition and Rodgers, as it stands, will leave the Bhoys next summer.
GRV Media transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has explained to us that a return to England to manage is on the cards for Rodgers, as well as working abroad.
Bailey said: “I am told that, as it stands, Brendan Rodgers is expected to leave at the end of the season. A new deal is not close. Rodgers is considering his options.
“He is believed to fancy his hand abroad, but a move back to England is an option – the jobs at Bournemouth, Fulham and Crystal Palace could be coming up for instance – they could be options.”
Rodgers to Bournemouth, Fulham or Crystal Palace?
Two of the Premier League sides Bailey mentions have been enjoying fantastic seasons under Andoni Iraola and Oliver Glasner.
Iraola has Bournemouth sitting 4th after seven games, while Glasner is unbeaten in 19 games across all competitions managing Palace.
Both managers’ stocks are high and will be inevitably targeted by bigger clubs across the Premier League and Europe if they can keep the good form going.
That does mean that for Rodgers, moving to a Bournemouth or Palace is fairly realistic next summer given the success he’s enjoyed in England.
