Celtic fans are set for a free-for-all when buying tickets for the upcoming friendly against Wolves.

The Hoops will face the Premier League side at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 29 July. The match will kick-off at 2pm and act as an additional warm-up fixture ahead of the start of both side’s competitive seasons.

The match was announced by Celtic on Wednesday with tickets going on general sale on Thursday morning. Both sides have posted about the game since, attaching a link for supporters to purchase their seats.

Intriguingly, both clubs have included the exact same link — the Ticketmaster event page.

This means that supporters of both sides are taken to the same page, with an identical array of seats to choose from.

There is no mention from either club about sections belonging to their group of supporters. From this, we can safely come to the conclusion that there will be no segregation in place for the match.

At the time of writing, around half of the Aviva Stadium is open to supporters. The majority of tickets sold have been in the vast South Stand, while the West Stand is completely blocked off at present.

It’s very early days in sales but it certainly doesn’t seem like it’s going to be too hard to acquire tickets.

Anyone who wants to attend the match should be able to do so easily, although you will have to part with €65 (£55) if you want one of the very best seats.

For non match-going supporters, it’s not yet clear whether the game will be broadcast live.

You’d certainly hope it would be more easily accessible than Wednesday night’s low profile clash against Portuguese side Portimonense.
