Joe Hart will be donning Celtic colours once more.
Last summer, Hart retired from football after helping Celtic beat Rangers in the Scottish Cup final, as he bowed out with a trophy in hand.
But the 38-year-old will wear the famous green and white colours again, this time for a charity match when Celtic’s legends face Manchester United’s legends on September 6.
Hart’s name has been pencilled in for the fixture, which will take place at Parkhead at 2pm on Saturday, September 6, after their meeting last year at Old Trafford.
But when Celtic’s Treble-winner was reacting to his return, he donned a new look that surprised the supporters.

Celtic fans react to Joe Hart’s new look post-retirement
Has Hart done a reverse of Scott Brown? The former Celtic captain sported a bald look during his career but then revealed a full head of hair now that he is in the dugout. It’s supposed to be the other way around, Scott!
But Hart has done the opposite, as you can see with Celtic’s post below, because he is now sporting a bald look ahead of the Legends game.
Not only are the Celtic fans on social media loving the fact that they will see their former goalkeeper in action again.
But it’s fair to say that there were a fair few ‘Head and Shoulders’ jokes regarding Hart’s new look because he used to advertise for the shampoo company.
@Michael41028030 with a brilliant response: ‘Damn, I used the shampoo he advertised, will I go bald now as well? Advise Joe!’
You are going to see plenty of these jokes, as @Bryanmc67 added: ‘There goes the head and shoulders gig!’
@CraigFairlie shared his excitement for the Legends match: ‘Ticket purchased. Can’t wait tbh.’
Another Head and Shoulders joke, as @Sir_Randolph_VC stated: ‘I take it he has stopped doing the Head & Shoulders adverts.’
@PaulMca65720989 expressed his appreciation for Hart in his own unique way: ‘Gimme 100 Joe Harts over any of these Louis Vuitton man bag merchants any day. HH.’
@StephenKel39538 showing some love: ‘Big super Joe we love u bro and hope the family is all good hail 🍀 hail.’
@WEEGIE_BHOY noted how Hart will play the Legends game: ‘Big Joe will still be as fit as a fiddle. Joe, Joe Super Joe.’
@fole16977709 also joked: ‘Never buying heads and shoulders again.’
@Mcvader88 shared a picture of Hart in his prime: ‘Big man..’
Another Head and Shoulders joke, this time from @Naka1888c: ‘This is a terrible advert for Head & Shoulders.’
The reason behind the Celtic v Manchester United Legends match
Another legendary Parkhead player who will feature in September is the Wizard of Oz, Tom Rogic.
You presume that, as the game edges closer, fans will learn the players who will feature on both sides, but as always, expect some big names.
But the most important thing of all is the reason behind this charity match, and who benefits from it.
As Celtic wrote on their website, it will help those in need of a warm meal, as well as provide vulnerable people with a safe environment.
Celtic wrote: ‘Funds raised through the match will focus on feeding people in need of our support, to reflect the heritage of the Club, primarily through the continuation and development of our Paradise Pit Stop project.
‘Through the project, we provide a free warm meal and a selection of hot and soft drinks four days a week, in a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals and families.
‘Through the project, we provide a free warm meal and a selection of hot and soft drinks four days a week, in a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals and families.
‘Paradise Pit Stop is, however, about more than just food – it serves as a safe, inclusive environment where people from some of Glasgow’s most vulnerable communities can access a hot meal, feel valued and gain access to essential support services.
‘Our aim is to provide relief from food poverty and tackle the increasing issue of loneliness and isolation in our communities.’
