Celtic fans will be able to get their Hoops fix this weekend when the Masters Cup takes place at the Braehead Arena.

Masters Football is making its comeback after some successful years on Sky Sports at the start of the century. The blue-pitch six-a-side game made its big return last year when Celtic faced off against Rangers, Liverpool and Manchester United.

This year, the organisers have gone for an all-Scottish line-up with Hibernian and Hearts replacing the two English sides.

Celtic are involved once again with the Hoops squad reading: Dorus de Vries, Mark Wilson, Kelvin Wilson, Joe Ledley, Simon Donnelly, Kris Commons, Mark Burchill and Gary Hooper.

Less than 100 tickets were available for the event — which takes place on Saturday night — as of yesterday (@mastersfootball on Twitter). However, the good news is that BBC Scotland will also be showing the action.

They say that the BBC Scotland channel will broadcast the event, which sees every team face each other in 16-minute matches before a grand final. The coverage will be hosted by Emma Dodds. (BBC)

After getting the taste of derby victories last weekend, it would be nice to see Celtic come out on top again this Saturday. Although it’s likely to be a more relaxed affair all around.

In other news, Hyunjun Yang’s rapid rise continued on Thursday as he made his debut for South Korea
