It’s that time of the year where we have asked you for your TalkingPoints player of the season.
Celtic have had a rocky campaign to say the least, with many of our star players performing way below par.
However, there is a league and cup double still on the line, and some players in Martin O’Neill’s squad deserving their flowers, but only one could win.

Benjamin Nygren crowned 67 Hail Hail player of the season
In the end it proved to be won by quite some margin as Benjamin Nygren was crowned the 67 Hail Hail player of the season.
At the time of writing the 24-year-old has 20 goals for the season, becoming the first Celtic midfielder to achieve that feat since Ryan Christie in the 2019/2020 campaign.
Nygren has frustrated supporters at times but without his goals, the Hoops would be much worse off.
His performances have attracted reported Premier League interest, but he will be central to everything going forward.
You guys voted for Benjamin Nygren as the player of the season. Would you change your vote if you could go back now?
Benjamin Nygren can still improve
The decision was pretty clear and obvious, with many supporters highlighting his contribution in the attacking third as their justification for voting for him, but there is so much of his game he can improve.
From his first touch to general ball carrying ability, the midfielder does lose possession far too easily and sometimes sees his attacking phases of play break down at crucial moments.
Having said that, if he keeps on sticking the ball in the back of the net and winning Celtic games, there’s only so many times you can complain.
