Celtic fans have not been enjoying the best season right now, but it seems that Benjamin Nygren is.

Nygren joined Celtic in June of this year and has enjoyed a decent start to his Hoops career despite the team not performing well.

So far this season after Celtic sacked Wilfried Nancy, Nygren is about to play for his fourth manager in a first six months that has seen the midfielder experience a real football rollercoaster.

However, despite all the troubles at Celtic, Nygren’s value continues to soar as a respected football stats site values the best players in all the leagues across the world.

The CIES Football Observatory have published their latest valuations of the top players in the Global leagues and the only Celtic player to make the list was Benjamin Nygren.

And the value the respected football site has placed on the Swede will stagger Celtic fans.

Benjamin Nygren valued at €14m after player’s superb start to the season

The report values Nygren at between €12m-€14m after his first six months at Celtic.

So far, the Swedish international has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 30 appearances for the Glasgow giants.

On top of that, Nygren has made seven appearances for the Sweden national squad and hit the back of the net on three separate occasions.

It’s little wonder his value has risen as Nygren’s goals have contributed to Sweden earning a place in the World Cup play-offs and also helped keep Celtic in the Europa League and the hunt for the Scottish Premiership title.
