To be fair, Celtic fans were warned that a Scottish club with new investment would challenge them for the Premiership title this season.
And this is coming from Hearts, following the arrival of new investor Tony Bloom, who wants to split Celtic and Rangers, as well as win Scotland’s main crown.
On Saturday afternoon, Hearts piled more misery on Rangers by beating Russell Martin’s men 2-0 at Ibrox to move to the top of the Premiership table.
It means Celtic must react when they travel to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic hero Chris Sutton reacts after Hearts beat Rangers at Ibrox
Chris Sutton has loved digging at Rangers on a regular basis, and in truth, they are the gift that keeps on giving.
With Rangers sitting tenth in the league, Sutton stated that it is ’embarrassing’, as he applauded Hearts, who are the ones asking Celtic the questions.
“Ironic, the striker Rangers should have signed a while back puts them to the sword… Well played Hearts 👏👏,” wrote Sutton.
“Not dealing with Raskin, one way or the other, proving costly for Russell Martin… Rangers 10th…”
Sutton added on BBC 606: “That’s embarrassing for Rangers to be sitting tenth in the league.”
When was the last time Hearts won the Premiership title?
Celtic have won 13 out of the last 14 titles, and you can only see one outcome with Brendan Rodgers’ side this term.
Even with Celtic’s troubles, you can’t see the champions of Scotland not being the ones lifting the title at the end of the campaign.
Perhaps Hearts can finish second, that’s realistic, but it has been a long time since they last lifted Scottish football’s main crown.
