Lisa Forrest has reflected on demolishing Rangers on the final day of the SWPL season.

Forrest, the sister of Celtic legend James, has particularly excelled against the Ibrox side, scoring five goals in her last two matches against them.

Her hat-trick at the weekend prevented Rangers from winning the title, allowing Hearts to emerge as surprise league winners, just as they weren’t in the Scottish Premiership.

The 20-year-old forward has reflected on the game which generated headlines throughout Scotland.

Lisa Forrest: ‘I don’t know what happened to Rangers’

Asked on talkSPORT’s Kick Back what happened to Rangers in the demolition, Forrest laughed: “I don’t know.

“I think we were all just on on it, on form and that. We were all playing with enjoyment, so that makes it better.

“The league really is getting more competitive now, I think in the top six especially. Anyone can beat anyone on their day.

“So it’s obviously a good way to end the season for us, beating them 6-0.”

On competing at the top of Scottish football, she continued: “That’s the games you want to play in, playing against top opposition week in week out.

“I think the split [was] a good addition into the league, and hopefully, it’s just going to get better and better.

“I think there’s been five different winners of the league in the last five years, so I think that’s what you want. You don’t just want one team to be running away with it each year.

“It’s obviously really good for the league, getting mor

e competitive and more professional, it’ll attract more players into the league as well, so it’s good.”

Forrest’s brothers competed in a title decider of their own, and as he so often does, James came out on top.

A win over Hibs would guarantee Hearts the title, but defeat meant that a win for Rangers against Glasgow City would send the title to Ibrox.

A 2-0 defeat for Hearts opened the door for Rangers, but Forrest starred in an absolute demolition from Glasgow City, who ran out 6-0 winners over Leanne Crichton’s side.
