Let’s be honest, things aren’t great at Celtic, but you can always laugh at what is happening across the road.
Rangers have been without a manager for a few weeks, after sacking Russell Martin, as several names, including Steven Gerrard, have been linked with the doomed gig.
But now, it seems as though Danny Rohl is set to become Rangers’ next manager, after Kevin Muscat pulled out, and Gerrard opted against returning to Ibrox.
Celtic hero Martin O’Neill knows more than anyone else the pressures of Glasgow, as he reacted to the latest man those inside Ibrox are bringing in to try and stop the champions of Scotland.

Celtic hero Martin O’Neill reacts as Rangers set to appoint Danny Rohl as their manager
It’s not just Celtic that Rohl has to stop now, but also Derek McInnes’ high-flying Hearts because they are sitting at the top of the Premiership table – five points clear of the Hoops and 13 points clear of the Gers.
The Rangers supporters didn’t give Martin a chance, and as soon as he entered the building, they were looking to boot him out pretty much straight away.
But O’Neill thinks the Rangers fans might just be slightly patient with Rohl because they will have little knowledge of the German.
Jim White: “A bit of movement in the Rangers situation. We are now hearing, in view of the fact that Kevin Muscat is no longer a contender for the vacant manager’s position, following the sacking of Russell.
“We now hear at talkSPORT that Danny Rohl is indeed set to be appointed as the next manager of Rangers.”
O’Neill: “I think when Russell Martin was appointed, his style of play followed him, in that sense, up to Ibrox, and then perhaps, the Ibrox fans were looking, ‘listen, we must be winning at all costs’, so that didn’t go down brilliantly.
“However, I think they will know much less about Danny Rohl, and maybe be prepared to give him a chance. They will certainly know that he has only had the one managerial job.
“Because they know less about him, in that sense, they might be prepared to say, ‘this is it.'”
O’Neill tells Rohl what he is getting into
Celtic face Rangers in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden on November 2, as that will be Rohl’s first taste of the Glasgow derby.
O’Neill has told Rohl that he would be a ‘fool’ if he didn’t understand the pressures of Glasgow, and how you simply have to ‘win football matches’ and nothing else.
White: “What does Danny Rohl need to know about what he is getting into?”
O’Neill: “First of all, he would be a fool if he hadn’t any preconceived notion about what he is going into. He knows he has to win football matches.
“I don’t think you have to be born and bred in Glasgow to know you have to win football matches at the club. That’s it, as much as anything else.”
