Celtic have launched a new range of Adidas merchandise before making a single signing in the transfer window.
Club Chairman Brian Wilson said that a “busy summer” was expected in terms of transfers, but this is yet to have been evidenced in reality.
Though Martin O’Neill is remaining in charge after his interim spells last season, a raft of changes are expected to the Hoops’ squad, with many players expected to leave.
As the wait for a single signing goes on, there is no such delay on Celtic’s commercial side.

It features a special Celtic badge commemorating the Lisbon Lions, just as the Hoops’ home, away and third kits will this season.
There is a great irony in this, given that the Lions set a European precedent which Celtic have fallen desperately short of continuing in recent years.
Of course, a Champions League trophy would be a ridiculous ask in the modern football landscape, but surely being able to beat Kairat Almaty isn’t too much to ask.
Celtic are currently sleepwalking towards a similar scenario where the manager enters the crucial play-off under-equipped, with many gaps in the squad unfilled.
Daizen Maeda is expected to leave the club in the coming weeks, whilst Arne Engels is at the centre of a major auction this summer.
These won’t be easy players to replace. If O’Neill is to continue the momentum from last season, he’ll need things to start moving much more quickly.
🤦♂️ Still no sign of an agreement for either of these two Celtic favourites to stay…
The season ended on May 23rd 🗓️
Martin O’Neill on Celtic’s recruitment ahead of the Champions League
Speaking to Track Radio last month, O’Neill said of the important of recruitment before the play-off: “Absolutely, [recruitment is going to be key]. You’ve nailed it. It’s exactly right.
“We get a two-legged qualification game towards the end of August time.
We will have started a season, we will be into it by a couple of matches. But the teams that we are likely to face will have had summer times and games in front of us.
“I even felt this going away back 20-odd years ago, when I was in charge at Celtic:
“The teams that you felt you could definitely beat in, let’s say, early November, you would find really difficult to beat in, let’s say, the second or third week in August, because of the match advantages that they would have over you.
“So yeah, it’s fraught with difficulty in that sense. Celtic failed last year to make it [against Kairat], probably in two games where they would’ve been expecting to go through.
“So I will be concerned, but as you say, excited at the same time that there’s an opportunity for that.”
