Celtic’s potential transfer business has been much covered over the course of this week on 67 Hail Hail. The addition of Odin Thiago Holm was quickly followed up by reports that Celtic had made an offer for South Korean winger, Yang Hyun-jun.
The 20-year-old Gangwon player is highly rated back in Korea and it seems that Celtic are serious about bringing him to Glasgow after a ‘formal offer’ was made this week.
But the player’s manager Yoon Jeong-hwan, is not happy about the reports. His team, Gangwon, is currently fighting relegation from the K1 League and Jeong-hwan has claimed that Hyun-jun’s agent’s constant contact with the press could unsettle his player.

Jeong-hwan said [YNA], “Transfers are up to the club and the agent, but if the agent keeps exposing the player to the media, the player can be manipulated.
“(The agent) is constantly shaking things up through the media, and I hope he will restrain himself and work quietly so that the situation will not be exposed under the water.
“They’re making it difficult by going public, the athlete is under a lot of pressure and can be manipulated.” [translated by Deep L]
Jeong-hwan is clearly unhappy with the whole situation and wants the matter resolved quickly, but more importantly, quietly.
Now that the news is out there that Celtic have an interest in the player, it is now up to both clubs to try and work out a deal that suits both parties.
Gangwon drew their fixture today with Suwon 1-1 which takes them four points clear of Hyeongyu Oh’s former club, Suwon Bluewings at the bottom of the table.
They are still seven points from safety with 19 games played. Celtic will be hoping that they start picking up more points and climb that table to make this deal go through quicker and smoother for the SPFL kicking-off in August.
