Brendan Rodgers has completed his first summer signing in his second stint as the new Celtic manager. Odin Thiago Holm has joined the club from Valerenga this afternoon in a deal that will see the 20-year-old sign with the club for the next five years.
67 Hail Hail told this morning how Celtic will pay the Norwegian club £2.5m and have included a 15% sell-on clause of any future fee.
Reacting the signing, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was delighted and said he believes the youngster is someone that can make a ‘big impact’ at the club.
Rodgers said [Celtic FC], ““We are delighted to bring Odin to the club and to secure his signing so early in the window.“He is a player who has been in the club’s scouting and recruitment system for some time.
“I have looked at him closely and believe he is someone who can make a big impact at the club.
‘I have spent time already with Odin, he is an ambitious, exciting young player and I know he is delighted to be joining us.

“He is a great addition to the quality squad we already have and we really look forward to working with him.”
Exciting times have already begun for the Celtic support under Rodgers. With his first new signing under his belt already, the Celtic manager has wasted no time in getting work.
With reports that the club have also made an offer for South Korean winger, Yang Hyun-jun hitting the headlines this morning, Celtic are wasting no time in identifying positions where we could look to strengthen for the coming season.
