Celtic have reportedly made an approach for Brazilian winger, Ferreira according to Football Scotland. The report says that the club has put out ‘early feelers’ to his club, Gremio, to get an idea of what the Brazilian Serie A side would be looking for for him.
It is also claimed that Ferreira is also keen on a move to Paradise. The 25-year-old is a versatile attacking midfielder that can occupy both wings and central forward areas but plays predominately on the left wing.
He has been at Gremio since 2019 and during that time he has made 125 appearances for the club scoring 22 goals and creating 20.

His contract expires at the end of the coming season and the report claims that a fee in the region of £6m would be enough to tempt Gremio to part with a player that they regard as one of their most valuable assets.
The report also claimed that teams from the MLS and English Premier League side, Burnley are also interested in the Brazilian.
Brendan Rodgers is clearly looking to fill the void left by former Portuguese favourite, Jota who departed the club two weeks ago in a £25m life-changing move to Al-Ittihad.
Indeed, Celtic have already agreed a deal to bring Korean winger, Yang Hyun-jun, to the club. The 21-year-old is also comfortable on both wings but it seems that after the recent injuries to Marco Tilio and Mikey Johnston sustained in Portugal last week, the club are looking to bolster their options in the forward areas for the coming season.
If Celtic did splash the cash and spend £6m on Ferreira that would be a real statement of intent from Brendan Rodgers. He has yet to make any real dent in the transfer budget he was promised since he signed for Celtic despite adding four players to the first team. A £6m signing would signal the start of serious business in the transfer window.
