The work has officially begun for Celtic and Wilfried Nancy.

Confirmation of Nancy’s appointment was announced by Celtic just before their 1-0 victory against Dundee.

It has been a long time coming but the Frenchman will definitely be in the dugout for the top of the table clash against Hearts on Sunday 7 December.

Nancy has been tipped to be a success by MLS stars, and the Frenchman does have shades of Ange Postecoglou about his style as a person and coach.

As the hard work begins, the first pictures of the 48-year-old have dropped.

Wilfried Nancy arrives at Celtic

After arriving into London on Tuesday, the new Hoops boss has travelled up to Glasgow ahead of taking his first training session.

Amid all of the excitement, the club posted the first image of the new manager to their social media.

What’s the first thing Wilfried Nancy needs to address at Celtic?

It was nothing spectacular, just a picture of a thumbs up, but plenty to get excited about in this exciting new era.

What can we expect from Wilfried Nancy in his first game at Celtic?

Expectations will be high going into this weekend’s game, but there has to be a degree of realism.

Nancy won’t have much time on the training pitch with his squad and may be hesitant to impose wholesale changes for such a high-profile match.

We may see more of his style in the Europa League game against Roma, before heading into the January transfer window, where the real work will begin.
