Celtic stormed to the Premiership title this season and secured the crown after a 5-1 hammering of Dundee United.

It’s their fourth consecutive league title, which they finally got their hands on after drawing 1-1 with St Mirren on Saturday’s Trophy Day celebrations.

James Forrest clinched a last-gasp point for the Hoops and it meant Brendan Rodgers and his men finished with 92 points, 17 ahead of Rangers.

Celtic plundered 112 goals across the league campaign and only conceded 26, which delivered a stunning goal difference of +86.

67 Hail Hail had a look back into the history books – and that margin for the champions actually broke a previous joint club record.

Celtic achieve club record goal difference tally of +86

Indeed, the +86 goal difference achieved by Celtic in the 2024/25 Premiership season is a new outright club record.

The previous jointly held record was from the 1935/36 and 1967/68 campaigns when Celtic recorded goal differences of +82.

Celtic’s most decorated manager of all-time Willie Maley was in charge of the 1936 heroes as the Bhoys won the top-flight title for the first time in nine long years.

Maley’s men scored 115 goals that season, three more than 2024/25’s total mentioned above.

Of course, Jock Stein was at the helm in 1968 as Celtic won their second consecutive domestic Treble. The +82 goal difference that year was hugely influenced by the team’s steely defence.

Not even the 2016/17 Invincibles team can better the class of 2024/25. They delivered a goal difference of +81 and that is now third on Celtic’s all-time leaderboard.

Celtic’s highest scoring league wins in 2024/25

Celtic were imperious in front of goal this season and kicked the campaign off with a 4-0 victory over Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.

But that was to be eclipsed on September 28 when the Hoops destroyed St Johnstone with a humbling 6-0 scoreline.

That was matched at the start of February when Dundee were put to the sword by the same score, with Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels notching doubles.

The hammerings of St Johnstone and Dundee proved to be Celtic’s record league wins across 2024/25.
