Jota’s return to Celtic has caused a lot of excitement amongst the Hoops support.
The Bhoys’ announcement of Jota helped to ease the pain of losing Kyogo to Rennes as the Portuguese winger made a stunning return to Celtic Park.
Jota sent a message to the Celtic fans where he said he was ‘very happy’ to be back at the club and, it seems, that after the winger’s first Hoops training session, the 25-year-old combined with Nicolas Kuhn left one of Celtic’s coaching staff blown away.
But it wasn’t because of what the Celtic duo did.

Celtic coach blown away by Nicolas Kuhn and Jota in training
Celtic posted a video online of Jota’s first training session and when he and Nicolas Kuhn combined in a drill, one of the Lennoxtown coaches can be heard saying, ‘That’s the best thing I’ve ever seen’, but not at Jota.
Have a look at this:
The coach is, of course, Adam Sadler, who replaced Harry Kewell in 2023 with a man trusted by Brendan Rodgers from his days at Leicester City and it was Anthony Ralston’s flick to get out of a tight squeeze that left him stunned.
Jota and Nicolas Kuhn’s stats at Celtic
Nicolas Kuhn had a difficult start to life at Celtic as the winger suffered from a health issue that hampered the beginning of his career.
However, this season the German winger has been on fire and has now surpassed Jota’s goal-scoring record from his first stint at Parkhead.
| Celtic record | Minutes | Goals | Assists | Goals per 90 | Assists per 90 |
| Nicolas Kuhn | 3062 | 19 | 15 | 0.77 | 0.70 |
| Jota | 2925 | 15 | 12 | 0.46 | 0.47 |
Having both wingers in the Celtic first-team lineup is going to give fans something special to look forward to in the second half of this season.
