One Celtic player has admitted that he has felt guilty about Wilfried Nancy’s time in charge of Celtic and felt like he let him down.
Nancy was sacked after 33 days in charge of the Hoops following a dismal run that saw him win two of his eight games in charge.
The players weren’t happy behind the scenes during the Frenchman’s tenure, but one feels like he could have done more.

Alistair Johnston opens up on Wilfried Nancy’s time at Celtic
Alistair Johnston knew Nancy better than most having worked with him at Montreal Impact, and was spotted greeting him warmly on his first day at the club.
Johnston was on the sidelines for the duration of his spell in charge and the Canada international says that he feels somewhat responsible for not being able to show his teammates what Nancy was trying to implement.

He told Canadian outlet, the Globe and Mail: “I really felt that I let him down to the degree that I couldn’t be out there on the pitch to help really show the lads what he wanted on the grass, in training and ideally in the matches.
“He is still a good coach…it just wasn’t a perfect fit. The timing was unbelievably difficult and I think he would be the first one to admit that.”
Where is Wilfried Nancy now?
Since his sacking after the 3-1 loss to Rangers, the 48-year-old has remained quiet and not in the public eye.
Saint-Ettienne were briefly linked with Nancy, but the appointment never came to fruition.
Time will tell when he chooses to step back into management; however, it is clear with every passing day that Celtic were not the right fit.
