The Celtic first-team squad showed off some cracking new Adidas gear on Wednesday.

The players were at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, where they went down 6-4 to Kevin Muscat’s Yokohama F. Marinos.

It was an exciting match in what was our first high-profile fixture since the Scottish Cup final at the start of June.

The new season brings about fresh hope, players and clothing options. We’ve covered the latter fairly regularly on the channel over the summer, with three new match day kits now launched as well as some training gear.

And the team were wearing even more new stuff before and after the game against the reigning J1 League champions.

This Celtic tweet captured the likes of Tomoki Iwata and Kyogo Furuhashi arriving at the stadium wearing a beautiful Adidas dark green polo shirt with light green sleeves.

In the above image you can see Kyogo Furuhashi modelling the zipper version of the design and it really looks great.

However, there is a catch for Celtic supporters. If you’re about to leave this article to go and buy the polo then don’t bother. It’s not available yet to supporters.

We’ve scoured the full Adidas range on the Celtic online store and the design is nowhere to be seen. The grey and neon yellow gear is there but that’s all there is in terms of training stuff right now.

Of course, it seems extremely likely that Celtic will release the even newer stuff at some stage in the future.

Given some of the comments on the club’s tweet earlier, it’s going to be a big hit with supporters.

In other news, Odin Thiago Holm didn’t feature for Celtic in the game against Yokohama F. Marinos
