Liel Abada’s Celtic future seems really uncertain at this moment in time.
Returning to the Celtic team after he picked up an awful injury on international duty, coupled with well-documented off-field issues, the Israeli winger is a shadow of the player that the Celtic fans watched under Ange Postecoglou over the past two seasons.
Linked with a move away from Celtic in January, Abada stayed at the club and has made four appearances since the return of the winter break.
However, it was his performance against Hibs that really came to the fore as Abada failed to impress which eventually led Rodgers to take him out of the team due to the youngster not being in the right frame of mind.
And former Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew has offered Abada some advice on what he needs to do to save his Celtic career.
Mulgrew said [Clyde SSB], “I think if he’s not in the right frame of mind then he needs to weigh that up. Can Brendan Rodgers get the best out of him?
“Can he bring it back and get the best out of himself? Can he have that connection with the fans and get them onside with him and him playing his best football?
“He needs to decide whether he can do that. And that probably takes a couple of months, a couple of weeks and decide that before the summer.
“If he can’t then he probably needs to go. Because the most important thing is that he’s on top of his game for Celtic and enjoying his football.
“And if that’s not the case then for all parties it’s best that he moves on.”
Does Liel Abada have a future at Celtic?
Clearly, the situation that the youngster finds himself in needs to be handled delicately but there is a possibility that he could still have a bright future at the club.

You only need to look at what he achieved over the past two seasons to see that he still has a lot to offer this Celtic team.
In 112 appearances for Celtic, Abada has found the back of the net 29 times and created 22 goals. His most memorable goals have come against Rangers as the Israeli winger always seemed to find a way to torment the Ibrox club in the Glasgow Derby. [Transfermarkt]
Taking those number out of the Celtic team has definitely had an effect on how we have performed this season and if Rodgers can get Abada back to his best, he could be pivotal in determining whether Celtic defend the title or not.
