Shots are being fired left, right and centre following Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic exit.
Everyone was aware of the disconnect between Celtic fans, Rodgers and the board, and it all came to a shuddering end on Monday evening.
It was topped off by the usually quiet Dermot Desmond delivering a scathing attack on Celtic’s departed coach, and a lot of people have had their say.
But whilst the above people make the headlines, Chris Sutton, who is always vocal about matters relating to Celtic, wanted to put Paul Tisdale’s name on the table.

Chris Sutton questions Paul Tisdale’s role at Celtic
Tisdale is Celtic’s head of football operations, and whilst Sutton understands his job title, he wants to know exactly what he does on a day-to-day basis.
Speaking on Sky Sports Football, during their live coverage of Wednesday night’s Premiership action, Sutton called out Tisdale and how ‘all the anger’ stems from Celtic’s recruitment strategy.
“I mentioned Paul Tisdale,” said Sutton. “He came to the club. A lot was made about him coming to the club. What does he do?
“He is the head of football operations, but what does he actually do? The recruitment strategy at Celtic. There doesn’t seem to be one.
“Dermot Desmond can come out with his statement, and what have you. If there is one, it certainly isn’t joined up. That is the problem. That’s where all this anger is from. It’s all from what happened in January.”
How do Celtic fix their current situation?
First and foremost, Celtic need to get a new manager in whilst Martin O’Neill holds fort alongside Shaun Maloney, until they are told otherwise.
After that, Sutton made it clear that the champions of Scotland need to have a ‘really good window in January’ to try and fix their current issues.
“You have a really good window in January,” responded Sutton on how Celtic can fix their situation. “You try to stay in a title race. You try to improve in the Europa League. Hang on in there until January.
“I think it’s going to be a struggle until January. I don’t care who comes in, and how good they are as a manager; it’s really difficult with the group of players.
“Celtic can’t score goals (comments made before 4-0 win over Falkirk). We sit and watch. How are you going to score a goal? They don’t have the quality.”
