Brendan Rodgers is enjoying a healthy and successful second spell at Celtic.
The Celtic manager has already picked up his first piece of silverware this season after the Bhoys beat Rangers in the League Cup final in December.
Rodgers has also built up a healthy lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table as the Hoops sit 15 points ahead of Rangers after Celtic beat Ross County this weekend.
Celtic are also on course to qualify from the Champions League group stages for the first time in over ten years and on track for a world-record eighth domestic treble.
So when Chris Sutton was asked why Rodgers was not linked to the vacant West Ham job, the Celtic hero wasted no time in shutting that rumour down.

Chris Sutton shuts down talk about Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and West Ham
Sutton was asked as part of a fan Q&A why West Ham didn’t look at Rodgers as he got into a discussion with journalist, Ian Ladyman.
Sutton told It’s All Kicking Off [33m], “How do we know he wasn’t linked? Well, because he committed to Celtic. I think he signed a three-year deal.
“And after what happened last time when he downgraded and went to Leicester, I don’t think he would be leaving early again.”
Ladyman: “Downgraded to go from the Scottish Premier League to the English Premier League? There’s a big call.
“Downgraded. I actually think that’s a really good question from Peter. Why wouldn’t someone like Brendan Rodgers be linked?”
Sutton: “How do we know he wasn’t linked? I mean, you are the guys who write the articles and put these articles up online. I mean, you make a lot of things up anyway, you lot.”
Ladyman: “Easy. Easy. I do have a lawyer.”
Sutton [laughing]: “I’d love to meet your lawyer. He or she must be really intelligent too or maybe not to represent you. So, yeah, maybe he was linked. He would have been in the thinking. I’m sure he must be in the thinking of a lot of people.”
Ladyman: “He wasn’t linked because he’s lost in the wilderness of the Scottish football set-up. That’s why. Anyway, let’s not fall out.”
Why Brendan Rodgers wouldn’t have left Celtic for West Ham
West Ham have hired Graeme Potter for the role so the point is moot anyway but Rodgers won’t make the same mistake he did at Celtic like the one he made in 2019.
The Northern Irishman has a point to prove to the Celtic support and has been vocal about putting right their perception of him after Rodgers left the Parkhead club for Leicester City in the middle of the Double Treble season.
The Celtic boss seems to have more control at the club than he did in his first spell and, to be honest, Rodgers look far happier now than he ever did back then.
When Hoops gaffer does go it is likely it will be at the end of his current contract unless Celtic looks to tie Rodgers down to a new deal before that comes to pass.
