Brendan Rodgers treated the press to a box office Celtic press conference on Friday.
Ahead of facing Kilmarnock on Sunday, he had plenty to say about Daizen Maeda, Adam Idah and the transfer window.
Rodgers also condemned the ‘cowardly’ Celtic insider who made claims against the Northern Irishman to the press last week.
While the Hoops boss touched on Celtic fan frustration and his thoughts on the upcoming protest at Rugby Park.
But Chris Sutton thinks the ‘most staggering’ takeaway is about the manager’s future.

Sutton baffled by no new contract offer for Rodgers
Sutton took to social media platform X and expressed his disbelief that Celtic haven’t got a contract extension offer on the table for Rodgers.
Rodgers said that he intends to see out his current deal, which expires next summer, but hasn’t been offered new terms.
Sutton said: “The most staggering thing (well maybe not) out of Brendan Rodger’s presser is him saying that he hasn’t had a contract offer on the table.
“How can a guy entering his final year who has won so much (11 trophies) and made progress last season in CL not have a concrete offer?”
What Rodgers said about his Celtic future
Rodgers explained that no deal is on the table, but there have been chats with CEO Michael Nicholson and majority shareholder Dermot Desmond.
The boss is open to staying beyond the summer of 2026, but only if certain conditions and ambitions of his are met by the hierarchy.
He said: “I would love to stay here longer, I’ve had informal chats with Dermot and Michael but no offer to consider.
“I guaranteed I would do three years, and if going forward I do get offered a deal, there does have to be conditions in that, that allow me to work the best I can.”
