Chris Sutton has once again come out in support of Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou as he remains under pressure at Nottingham Forest.

Reports revealed that Sean Dyche could become the Forest manager, with their controversial owner Evangelos Marinakis considering sacking Postecoglou.

Eddie Howe came out in support of Postecoglou too, and the Australian has received endless abuse from the supporters of the club he is in charge of.

However, Sutton was quick to bite back at Forest supporters.

Chris Sutton thinks the Ange Postecoglou treatment is ‘shocking’

Forest return to Premier League action against Chelsea on Saturday in a make-or-break situation for their manager’s future.

Looking ahead to the game, Sutton was overly critical of the Forest fans for booing the former Celtic manager, and addressed the situation loud and clear.

Speaking on Radio Five Live: “This isn’t like me to hold grudges. But this is under my skin a little bit. The treatment of Ange Postecoglou from Nottingham Forest fans.

“I mean, I think that’s been absolutely shocking. Singing for their own manager to be sacked after six games. I mean, they’re better than that, aren’t they?

“I mean, when you look back to last season, had a little look, they won two out of the last nine Premier League games. This has certainly been festering for a while. But to take it out on the manager, I’ve never known anything like it.”

Could Brendan Rodgers replace Ange Postecoglou?

Brendan Rodgers is no closer to signing a new deal at Celtic, and his future is still up in the air.

The Northern Irishman is out of contract at the end of the season, but has been loosely linked with jobs in the Premier League.

If Postecoglou was to be sacked, Rodgers may prove to be an attractive proposition as someone that will have a lower compensation clause, and has good knowledge of the English top flight.
