The Celtic board are coming under increasing pressure this week.
After claiming the matter of the Parkhead leak is now closed, the spotlight turns right back on to Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson.
The reason for that? Well, the journalist who wrote the story about ‘senior’ figures at Celtic briefing against Brendan Rodgers has broken his silence.
Hannah stands by his Celtic article after he read the Nicholson verdict on it after the Celtic Fans Collective released an update on Monday night’s get together.
The Celtic board released their own statement and Chris Sutton says that the Parkhead suits made one big mistake.

Chris Sutton tells the Celtic board they released the wrong statement
Celtic have released two statements to the fans over the last couple of months. One that looked like it had been written by AI and the other that was put out after the meeting with fans on Monday night.
And Sutton reckons they released the wrong one out of the two on Tuesday afternoon.
Sutton told the Record Celtic podcast [3m 50s], “First of all, I do think that dialogue is a good thing and it is whatever anybody says.
“And, who knows what will come out in the minutes because there are contrasting views, you know, massively contrasting.
“I think the whole sort of, the anger at the start of the meeting would have probably been from the supporters groups that the horse has already bolted and, we’re having this meeting now and the work should have been done, the stuff about the club not taking any responsibility.
“In fairness, the statement which was put out by the club last night, they did actually own up to mistakes and recognise concerns and the frustration of the support and what have you.
“Maybe that was the statement which they should have put out a few weeks ago, so they’re holding their hands up. I think that would have been more timely than, as I said, after the horse has bolted.”
Chris Sutton doesn’t think Celtic fans will see board ‘heads on sticks’
With Celtic fans wanting to see Peter Lawwell, Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay removed from their positions at Parkhead, Sutton isn’t convinced that is going to happen.
The former Celtic striker continued, “I think that the supporters want to see, you know, a head or heads on sticks.
“And I don’t think that that necessarily will happen. I don’t see it.
“I don’t see the fan anger going away at present, which isn’t a good situation for the club to be in.”
We do need to pick up on Sutton’s comments that the board recognised they had made mistakes. Can’t have that.
It was a fleeting comment which was then qualified by the board justifying Celtic’s performances in Europe and the transfer market with them still claiming they are doing a good job.
It’s simply not good enough and if Sutton can’t see that from the Celtic fan reaction then he’s not been paying attention.
