Chris Wood is now working under former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou at Nottingham Forest.
Postecoglou was appointed by Nottingham Forest after they sacked Nuno Espirito Santo rather abruptly.
It is the Celtic hero’s first job in football since being dismissed by Tottenham Hotspur, even though he won the Europa League and ended their 17-year trophy drought.
The Australian is adored here in Glasgow and although his style of play has been met with polarising views down south, Wood seems inspired by what he saw at Celtic.

Chris Wood excited to work under Ange Postecoglou
Forest are yet to win under Postecoglou in any of their first five games but have a glorious chance in their first European game at the City Ground in 29 years.
FC Midtjylland, who Celtic play in the Europa League too, are the visitors and Wood and Postecoglou will hope this can be the turning point.
Asked about the 60-year-old’s rise up the managerial ladder, the New Zealand international said it was his work at Celtic that first made him sit up and notice.
“To be fair, we didn’t cross over when he was in Australia, I heard of him mostly when he was going from Japan to Celtic and doing great things up there,” he told Stan Sport.
“He’s been a big manager in the last 10 years at least coming through. He was always doing extremely well and obviously doing extremely well at Tottenham.”
Can Celtic face Ange Postecoglou’s Nottingham Forest in the Europa League?
While the two won’t meet in the main league phase, there is every chance that Postecoglou could return to Celtic Park later on in the tournament.
This could happen in the Europa League knockout or if they even advance deeper into the competition.
The 2026 Europa League final will be held at Besiktas Stadium in Istanbul on Wednesday 20 May. What an occasion it would be for the two to meet then.
