Long-term Celtic absentee Christopher Jullien has been teasing his return to action for the Bhoys with an Instagram post this afternoon.
Jullien has been out of action with a knee injury ever since colliding with the post against Dundee United last December.
Surgery and a long rehabilitation process have been ongoing, with regular updates coming from the defender.
Now he’s teasing ‘Year 3’ beginning at Celtic.
On Instagram he posted images of him posing in this year’s kit, with the message: “Year 3 ! It stands before me like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written… 🍀⏳”
Christopher Jullien Celtic return could still be a while away
Celtic could do with him as soon as possible. There are serious depth issues in the centre of defence and Jullien could well end up being the long-term partner for Carl Starfelt.
Postecoglou said at the end of July he could be out for a ‘couple of more months’ so that would rule him out until September. But perhaps Jullien is eyeing a surprise early return if the feedback he’s getting from the medical staff is positive.
Certainly, he seems positive about recovery if he’s making social media posts like these.
As it stands, the Bhoys will surely be looking for another defensive option in the transfer market with players such as Japan international Ko Itakura linked with a move to the club.
Defensive deficiencies were again on full display against Jablonec despite us winning the match. Nir Bitton is not a viable long-term choice in the position.
It’ll be great to see Jullien back on the pitch.
In other news, Celtic-daft boxer Michael Conlan makes big impact on the world stage.
