Daizen Maeda gave Bayern Munich a torrid for Celtic in the Champions League.
The Japanese winger scored in the first leg of the Champions League playoff tie as Celtic lost 2-1 to Bayern.
When Brendan Rodgers switched Maeda to the forward role, the Japanese winger gave the Bundesliga giants’ defenders nightmares for the final 15 minutes of the match as Celtic almost snatched a draw.
And in the Allianz Arena, Maeda’s constant running and pressing had every Bayern Munich player talking as the Hoops hero tormented the German’s defence in Celtic’s 1-1 draw in the Allianz Arena.
After speaking to Bayern defender Eric Dier, Cameron Carter-Vickers was left stunned at hearing what the Munich players were saying about his Celtic teammate.

Bayern Munich players pinned Daizen Maeda’s Celtic stats to dressing room wall
Carter-Vickers met up with his former Spurs teammate inside the Allianz Arena and what Dier told the Celtic defender left the US international gobsmacked.
Carter-Vickers told The Mirror [print edition page 60], “It is crazy. I was actually talking to Eric after we played Bayern and he said after the first leg all the Bayern players were talking about him, about how much he runs and how much energy he puts into a game. It is incredible.
“We were just having a general chat about the two games and he said after the first leg they got the running stats put up in the changing room.
“He said everyone was talking about how much high-speed distance Daizen did.”
