Kieran Tierney tops the list for highest average rating this season

Kieran Tierney has been the standout player for the Hoops this season, according to the stats-driven app.

Despite a slow start due to injuries, the left-back has got closer to his old self and is now consistently among the best-performing players with an average rating of 7.38.

Top scorer Benjamin Nygren is second despite outperforming his xG with a rating of 7.29.

Liam Scales is just behind in third with a 7.24 rating, with Callum McGregor (7.18) in fourth before Auston Trusty surprisingly completes the top five with 7.15

Kasper Schmeichel and Sebastian Tounekti were the two to narrowly miss out, but at the bottom of the list of the top 15 players is Johnny Kenny, who scored a rating of 6.52.

Kenny has since gone on loan to Bolton Wanderers and scored his first goal for the club recently.

It does seem harsh on the Republic of Ireland international, who despite missing some big chances, has still managed to score four goals, although he is in joint-third with Tierney, Hyunjun Yang and Arne Engels.
