The dust has settled from Tottenham Hotspur’s outrageous call to sack Ange Postecoglou as their manager.
Despite Spurs securing Europa League glory in Bilbao last month, that seemingly wasn’t enough for the Celtic hero to stay in his job, despite it being their first trophy in nearly two decades and first European honour since 1984.
The London club, who finished 17th in the Premier League table, clearly feel the league is where the main expectations are; that’s why they haven’t been champions of England since 1960.
But Postecoglou is a proven winner, and with his CV, including winning the domestic Treble at Celtic, he will find a new home sooner rather than later.
It’s just a case of where will that be? And will he get another job in England’s top-flight?

Simon Jordan and Danny Murphy state what Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou won’t do next
Simon Jordan and Danny Murphy debated Postecoglou’s next move, and they both agreed about what won’t happen.
The talkSPORT pundits stated that they can’t see the 59-year-old landing another Premier League job, despite also securing fifth spot in his debut campaign at Spurs in 2023/24, after losing Harry Kane.
“He will get a job,” insisted Murphy. “No (not in the Premier League). I think somewhere in Europe will take him.
“He has attributes someone would like. That all or nothing football. He has won something at every club he has been at. He will get a job, no problem there, but I don’t think it will be here.”
Jordan responded: “No, (I don’t think Postecoglou will get a job in England). Not unless an opportunity comes out of the ether, where someone thinks that an Ange Postecoglou outlook is something they really quite like.”
Postecoglou in line for a new job after Tottenham sacking?
Brendan Rodgers’ contract expires next summer, and if he doesn’t stay on board, then there will be many Celtic fans open to Postecoglou coming back.
At the end of the day, Celtic love a returning hero, just look at two coming back within the space of a few months – Jota and Kieran Tierney.
But, of course, Postecoglou has to still be out of a job by next summer if a return to Glasgow is even remotely on the cards, and it doesn’t seem as though that will happen.
That’s because the Saudi Pro League could come knocking for the Greek-born Australian, with Al Ahli the team being mentioned, as posted by Sky Sports.
