Everything is clicking for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers.
Just in the past week, the champions have proved their worth against the second-best team in Scotland the second-best team in Germany.
Celtic thrashed Aberdeen 6-0 in the League Cup semi-final to book a final ticket against Rangers after they narrowly beat Motherwell.
But then, it went one better when Celtic produced one of their great European nights against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Whether it’s Adam Idah starting up front against Atalanta, Alex Valle flying down the left flank or Luke McCowan coming in for a game and scoring.
Everyone is performing and it is just making the Celtic squad stronger and stronger with each passing game.
But it also seems to be putting fear into the eyes of one Derek Ferguson, as he discussed on the latest edition of Open Goal.
Ex-Rangers man Derek Ferguson says Celtic’s bench strength is ‘quite scary’
During Celtic’s win over Leipzig in midweek, you had the likes of Liam Scales, Idah, Valle and Paulo Bernardo, to name a few, on the bench.
All of these guys are worthy starters, in fact, someone like Scales hasn’t done anything wrong, it’s just a case of Auston Trusty taking his chance and running with it.
But Ferguson feels, from a Rangers perspective, it’s ‘quite scary’ what Celtic have on offer as he lauded the club’s recruitment.
James McFadden teased the ex-Rangers man by stating that when Philippe Clement’s side beat Motherwell, he was quickly deflated because he realised that Celtic were standing in their way in the final.
“I was chuckling there, it’s quite scary, for me, aye (as a Rangers supporter),” admitted Ferguson amid talk of Celtic’s bench strength.
“You talk about recruitment. I looked at the line-up, who is on the bench and who comes off the bench, so it is quite formidable, at the minute, for us to look at.”
James McFadden then teases Ferguson about the cup final: “How long after the game on Sunday (against Motherwell) did you think ‘oh yeah, oh no!”
Ferguson added: “I know. You just want to get to the final. Listen, we are going to be massive underdogs, that’s for sure. You look at Celtic, what a result. You are waxing lyrical about that performance (against Leipzig). They are in such a good place. Their recruitment.”
Aberdeen win again as Celtic look to claim top spot against Kilmarnock
Amid the noise of Celtic’s performance against RB Leipzig, a certain Aberdeen are still flying high and they beat Dundee 4-1 on Saturday evening.
They are sitting on top of the table ahead of Celtic’s trip to Kilmarnock and only a win will send them champions back on top.
On one hand, it’s refreshing for Scottish football that such a title race is unfolding, but on the other, Aberdeen are proving to be a pain in the backside.
But perhaps that is keeping Rodgers and his players on their toes.
