Dundee boss Steven Pressley’s Celtic fear after watching the Bhoys’ superb Feyenoord win

The last time Dundee faced Celtic, Steven Pressley pulled off a shock 2-0 win at Dens Park.

At the time, Celtic were in turmoil with Brendan Rodgers’ constant off-field battles with the board and continued comments in the media about the quality of the Hoops first-team.

Whether those comments were justified or not, it appears that Rodgers should have kept them in-house as Martin O’Neill has instilled a belief in this Celtic team that has not been seen in months.

And that is what’s worrying Dundee boss Steven Pressley as he fires a warning to his players about the upcoming trip to Celtic Park tomorrow night.

Steven Pressley warns Dundee about ‘very impressive’ Celtic

Since Dundee beat Celtic back in October, Pressley’s side have lost four out of their five games as they languish in and around the relegation zone.

And after watching Celtic hammer Feyenoord in Rotterdam, Pressley is worried that his Dundee team could be in for a torrid time at Parkhead.

Pressley told the Daily Record, “I think they will be a different proposition on Wednesday.

“I watched their game on Thursday night [against Feyenoord] and they were very impressive.

“It will be a test for us. It will be a different type of game from Saturday. Again, you never know.”

Do you agree with Paddy’s prediction?

Ever since beating Celtic, Dundee went on a horror run of four straight defeats conceding 11 goals in the process. Celtic will be desperate to get revenge for that result and have Martin O’Neill leaving the club on a high. With the team playing well and high in confidence, I expect a big win at Celtic Park. Prediction: Celtic 5 v 0 Dundee

The time Celtic beat Dundee 7-1 at Parkhead as Martin O’Neill bows out

Martin O’Neill looks like he will officially bow out at Celtic after facing Dundee at Parkhead. And how much would he love to go out on a high?

A result like the 7-1 Celtic Park hammering of Dundee back in February 2024 would be an outstanding way to say goodbye to the Hoops support.

Back then Matt O’Riley and Greg Taylor absolutely terrorised Dundee at Celtic Park and to get anything close to that result would be a fitting end to O’Neill’s temporary tenure.
