The pressure has reached boiling point for Wilfried Nancy ahead of Celtic’s clash against Dundee United.
Jim Goodwin is the man in the Dundee United dugout, and he was at Hampden on Sunday to watch Celtic’s horror show unfold.
Celtic were beaten 3-1 by St Mirren, with Nancy losing his third match in a row, and many questioning his tactics and change of system.
Ahead of Celtic’s visit to Tannadice on Wednesday night, Goodwin shared some interesting thoughts on Nancy’s system and his use of Sebastian Tounekti.

Tounekti had a strong start at Celtic, but then his form began to fall off, as there was a lot of smoke to his game, but no fire.
It could be argued that, under Nancy, Tounekti is one of many who have struggled the most, and he has been used as a wing-back compared to his previous role as a left-sided winger.
Speaking on Premier Sports, Goodwin expressed his surprise at Nancy using Tounekti in that wing-back role.
Goodwin explained how there is ‘no way’ he was signed in the summer to play that role.
To perhaps provide relief for Tounekti, he won’t feature for Celtic in the coming weeks because the Tunisia international is now on African Cup of Nations duty.
“I know I am a current manager,” said Goodwin. “Wilfried Nancy has the right as manager of Celtic to change the tactics and pick individuals that he feels suit the system.
“I think we were all surprised to see such drastic changes. There is no way Tounekti was signed by Celtic in the summer to play as a wing-back.
“Daizen Maeda isn’t a number ten. I think the January transfer window is going to open in a little over a couple of weeks, so I would imagine Celtic will be busy trying to find players to suit the new style and system this manager wants to play.”
