As Rangers’ hunt for a new manager continues, it appears that it’s only Hearts who will challenge Celtic for the title.
The Edinburgh side are sitting on top of the Scottish Premiership table with Celtic just two points behind.
Rangers are currently sitting in 8th place, nine points behind Celtic and ten behind Hearts, with the Ibrox club still managerless.
And as all the hype about Steven Gerrard returning to Rangers continues, former Everton and England defender Phil Jagielka points out a brutal Celtic truth to the Ibrox club that even Hearts might want to listen to.

Phil Jagielka crushes Rangers fans and tells them Celtic have already won the league
Phil Jagielka never won a trophy in his career but even the former Everton defender can see the truth about Celtic despite the challenge of Hearts and the misplaced optimism that Rangers supporters seem to have.
Jagielka told Football Daily [34m 40s], “Rangers, it’s a massive club up there. Obviously, as you said, the two teams are absolutely huge. The worst thing is, realistically, the league season’s over.
“You know, the start they’ve had, you can’t see Celtic dropping that many points. I know we’re only in October and things, but basically the league’s over.
“So they’re just going to have to take the time. Do they go short-term fix where they try and get someone that’s going to make them climb the league table, do whatever they need to do.
“They were supposed to have a project with Russell Martin, but obviously the project didn’t last much more than a couple of months.”
